On 3 March 2026, around 11:50pm Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched an unknown projectile (coded as drone based on previous activity) targeting the Pelagia bulk carrier (IMO: 9433626) in the Gulf of Oman around 137 nm east of Muscat. The projectile exploded in close proximity to the ship. There were no injuries or fatalities.
