On 3 March 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike, while an Israeli Apache helicopter dropped thermal balloons over Khiyam town (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh). At the same time, Israeli forces fired 155 mm heavy artillery shells and conducted machine-gun fire toward the town from their El Hamames military post. Casualties unknown. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its air force conducted airstrikes against approximately 60 Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, the strikes targeted weapons depots, missile launchers, command centers, and other Hezbollah and Hamas Movement infrastructure in the Tyre and Sidon districts.
