On 3 March 2026, a landmine planted by unknown armed men during previous conflicts detonated inside the headquarters of the 9th Armored Division in As-Sanamayn city in northern Dara countryside while General Security forces were attempting to deal with explosive remnants of war. The explosion killed two members of the General Security forces and injured three others. 2 fatalities.
