On 3 March 2026, in Manaus - East Zone (Amazonas), drug traffickers clashed with a military police officer in Santa Rita Alley, in the Coroado neighborhood, after approaching him while he was working as a ride-hailing driver. The perpetrators struggled with the officer, fired shots during the confrontation, and stole his service firearm before fleeing the area. During a later operation by the Tactical Force, the firearm was located in an abandoned house. Officers also seized drugs, a mobile phone, and cash at the location. There were no fatalities.
