On 3 March 2026, in Ambato (Tungurahua), two armed individuals belonging to the Los Lobos gang killed a man in the Las Vinas sector. The victim was killed with multiple shots to the head and arms. Later the same day, police captured the attackers and discovered that the crime was motivated by territorial disputes between criminal gangs. The victim sold drugs and both detainees have prior criminal records. 1 fatality.
