On 3 March 2026, Hawiye-Hawadle sub-clan militia clashed with Al Shabaab on the outskirts of Yasooman village (Bulo Burto, Hiraan). The clan militia ambushed Al Shabaab while traveling in a white Toyota Land Cruiser. The clash was initiated with a Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG). 3 militants were killed, including a mid-level commander, and 3 others were injured.
