On 3 March 2026, RSF-Salamat commander shot and killed a RSF-Habbaniyah commander in Al Mawashi market in Nyala (Nyala Janoub, South Darfur), after the RSF-Habbaniyah commander refused the return of Salamat to the areas that they were displaced from following the 2023 clashes between the two groups (coded separately).
