On the night of March 19, kamikaze drones struck the Nevinomysskiy Azot chemical plant in Russia’s Stavropol Krai.

The Russians attempted to shoot down the Ukrainian drones with small arms. This is shown in videos published by the Telegram channel Supernova+.

An air raid alert was declared in the Stavropol Krai around 2:00 a.m., and minutes later, the first explosions were heard in Nevinnomyssk.

Local residents reported four strikes on the facility. A strong, unpleasant odor was noticeable in the city, and thick gray smoke rose above the plant’s grounds.

According to the FIRMS platform, which uses satellites to monitor fires in near real time, four fire outbreaks were recorded on the grounds of the Nevinnomysskiy Azot chemical plant.

Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov stated that the massive airstrike had allegedly been repelled and noted that “there is no damage to critical infrastructure.”

Nevinnomysskiy Azot is frequently targeted by Ukrainian strikes. In particular, drones had already struck this facility in January.
