On June 17, the vehicle carrying senior ANP leader and notable religious scholar Maulana Gul Dad Khan, his guard and his companions was hit by an IED device planted on the road in Nawagai town (Bajaur, KP) resulting in the death of his guard and injuries to the ANP leader and one of his companion. The vehicle was partially damaged by the blast.
