ARRESTS AND ARMED RESPONSE IN MAZATLÁN FOLLOWING NAVAL OPERATIONS The Mexican Navy reported the arrest of nine men in two separate operations in Mazatlán, as part of coordinated security efforts. In the Ampliación Valles del Ejido neighborhood, three people were arrested during raids conducted jointly with the State Police (SSPC). A stolen vehicle, as well as weapons and tactical equipment, were seized at the scene, according to official information. In another incident, in the town of El Placer, naval personnel were attacked with gunfire during patrols. The Navy stated that it repelled the attack and brought the situation under control, resulting in the arrest of six men. - 9 arrested - 8 long guns - 920 rounds of ammunition - 19 magazines - 1 stolen vehicle - Tactical vests and ballistic plates. One of those involved was injured and taken to a hospital after receiving medical attention. Authorities are continuing their investigations.
