On 2 March 2026, near Thea Me village (Paungde township, Pyay district, Bago-West region), the People's Defense Force - Pyay District attacked a column of about 50 Myanmar military soldiers (IB-10) from Pauk Taw village using mines at around 8:30 am. 2 military soldiers were killed and 3 others were injured. In response, the military soldiers fired back using small and heavy weapons. The fighting lasted about 15 minutes. 3 cows were killed in crossfire. The military soldiers retreated to their base. 2 fatalities.
