On 2 March 2026, clashes erupted between the Taliban and Pakistani Frontier Corps near the Durand Line in Shemel Zayi district, Zabul, bordering the Pakistani province of Balochistan. The Taliban claimed that they killed 3 Pakistani soldiers, captured another, and seized 9 Pakistani border posts. Casualties unknown.
