On 14 May 2021, in Thaketa township (Yangon-East district, Yangon Region), an explosion took place near two high schools on Market Road 7. Windows of some vehicles in the area were slightly damaged. A bomb also exploded near Dawbon Stadium at 8pm. Casualties unknown.
