On 2 March 2026, in the rural area of El Retorno municipality (Guaviare), the Colombian Army, Navy, and Air Force conducted a joint operation against a camp belonging to the Martin Villa FARC dissident faction in the Puerto Valencia vereda. The operation included an aerial bombing and ground assault, during which two combatants were arrested, two others surrendered voluntarily, and two minors were rescued. Three soldiers were injured by the detonation of an explosive device. Troops also seized 30 long guns, including five machine guns, as well as 10 handguns, an M-203 grenade launcher, ammunition, 40 mortar grenades, 13 drone-adapted grenades, electric detonators, and other war materials. There were no fatalities.
