On 2 March 2026, in Guayaquil - Garcia Moreno (Guayas), armed individuals in a vehicle killed two men in a drive-by shooting on Del Ejercito Avenue and Gomez Rendon street. The victims were leaving a residential building when they were intercepted. Witnesses stated that at least seven shots were fired. The victims included a man with prior criminal records for drug trafficking and a minor with no prior criminal records. Authorship is unknown. 2 fatalities.
