On 2 March 2026, suspected Fano militias, supported by ethnic Amhara residents (coded as ethnic Amhara militias), clashed with Oromia Regional Police and Kebele militias in Tulu Wayu, Abe Dongoro (Horo Guduru Wellega, Oromia), after the armed group attempted to attack residents. 3 Kebele militias were killed. The armed group also destroyed an unknown number of civilian houses and properties.
