On 2 March 2026, Al Shabaab clashed with AUSSOM UPDF and government security forces (SNA) convoy between Daarsalaam and Mubaarak village (Qoryooley, Lower Shabelle). The clash was initiated with RCIED, mortar shells, and RPGs. Al Shabaab claimed to have killed at least 5 UPDF soldiers and 9 others were injured, including 3 SNA.
