On 1 March 2026, in El Charco, Guerrero, members of the policia comunitaria UPOEG engaged in an armed clash with members of the group Los Ardillos, resulting in injuries on both sides. There were also reports of Los Ardillos using drones during the clash which were shot down. There were several attacks carried out simultaneously in Juan R. Escudero and Tecoanapa municipalities (coded separately).
