On 1 March 2026, at around 8:45pm Abu Dhabi time, an unknown projectile (coded as drone based on previous activity) likely fired by Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) exploded in close proximity to the Ocean Electra Panamax bulk carrier (IMO: 9402782) in the Persian Gulf around 35 nm west of Sharjah. There were no fatalities or injuries and the projectile did not damage the ship.
