On 1 March 2026, at around 12:00 pm Muscat time, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched a one-way drone that directly impacted the Skylight oil tanker (IMO: 9330020) around 5 nm north of Khasab port (coded to Coast of Khasab) (Musandam). All 20 crew members, including 15 Indian and 5 Iranian nationals, were evacuated, with 4 sustaining injuries and transferred for medical treatment.
