On 1 March 2026, suspected Fano militias, supported by armed ethnic Amhara residents (coded as ethnic Amhara militias), clashed with Oromia Regional State Police and Kebele militias in Fite Beko, Limu (East Wellega, Oromia), after the Fano militias entered the town, attacked, and killed an unspecified number of ethnic Oromo residents. The armed group also killed the administrator of Fite Beko kebele, burned over 60 houses, and looted around 90 cattle. Total number of fatalities coded as 4 (3 unspecified fatalities + 1 local administrator).
