On 1 March 2026, as per FARDC and Congolese local authorities, M23 and RDF deployed 4 kamikaze drones at the Kisangani Bangoka International Airport (Kisangani, Tshopo) that were shot down by FARDC. There were no casualties. The windows of some buildings were damaged. M23 claimed the attack.
