On 1 March 2026, military troops of OPHK, supported by air assets, repelled an attack by ISWAP/Boko Haram (JAS) on a Forward Operating Base in Gajiram (Nganzai, Borno). 3 bodies were found along the withdrawal route, and items recovered included four AK-47 rifles, five anti-tank bombs, three locally fabricated mortar bombs, an armed drone, six fully loaded 7.62mm NATO magazines, barbed wire cutters, specialized ammunition, and poisoned arrows. 3 attackers were killed, and one soldier was wounded.
