On 1 March 2026, night, morning and early afternoon, Kuwaiti forces intercepted drones and missiles fired by Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) over Kuwait (coded to capital Kuwait City) (Al Asimah). As a result of the interception, shrapnel fell on electricity cables causing limited electricity outages. This was part of the interception of a total of 283 drones (likely armed) and 97 ballistic missiles over the period of 28 February - 1 March. Kuwaiti authorities announced 1 civilian fatality and 20 civilian injuries - all foreign nationalities - due to Iranian attacks for the same period without specifying locations for the attacks.
