On 28 February 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes on a refugee camp in the Takhta Pul area of Spin Boldak district, Kandahar, killing 3 civilians and wounding 7 others. Pakistan claimed it was targeting Taliban military bases. The Taliban claimed that retaliatory attacks on 28 February in Nangarhar, Paktia, Khost, and Kandahar provinces, led by the 203 Mansouri, 201 Silab, and 205 Al-Badr Corps, resulted in 32 Pakistani military soldiers being killed, 10 Pakistani soldiers getting injured, and four Pakistani outposts being destroyed. Total 3 fatalities and 7 injuries.
