On 28 February 2026, Islamic Resistance in Iraq - Saraya Awliya al-Dam militants launched 3 drones targeting U.S. forces at the headquarters of Operation Inherent Resolve in Erbil (coded to the Harir Base). Two drones impacted the base. Casualties unknown. The group said that the attack was in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran against what it described as 'US-Israeli aggression,' and as part of defending Iraqi sovereignty.
