On 28 February 2026, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched missiles and drones targeting the headquarters and service center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet at Naval Support Activity Bahrain in Manama - Juffair (Capital). At least Shahed-163 suicide drone managed to directly impact the site, destroying 2 AN/GSC-52B SATCOM structures. Bahrain Defense Force stated its air defense systems intercepted other incoming missiles. The attack was part of broader IRGC attacks on US bases across the Gulf region following US - Israeli operations against Iran. There were no casualties.
