On 28 February 2026, armed individuals suspected of being Murle community members from the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) clashed with local youth (likely members of the Angakuei subsection of the Athoc section of the Bor Dinka community, who live in the area) at Pacho cattle camp in Angakuei Village, Baidit Payam (location coded to Baidit, the nearest known location in Bor South County, Jonglei State), resulting in 4 fatalities and 2 injuries, all on the Murle side. The clash ensued after the suspected Murle raiders stole cattle from the area, but the stolen animals were recovered during the clash.
