A chase in Tapachula ended with an abandoned pickup truck and a weapon seized during a nighttime operation. Citizen reports of suspicious vehicles in the Los Llanes neighborhood triggered a security deployment on the night of March 4th. State and municipal authorities began search patrols and, in the early morning hours of March 5th, located an abandoned white Nissan Frontier pickup truck on the road before the new bridge towards Mazatán, presumably linked to the initial report. Inside the vehicle, several pieces of evidence were found: - A Taurus G3 semi-automatic pistol - Three magazines - 33 rounds of 9mm ammunition - Doses of a substance resembling marijuana - A granulated substance resembling crack cocaine - A cell phone, tools, and notebooks with notes.
