An offensive reconnaissance operation in Andrés de Vera, Portoviejo canton, allowed the Ecuadorian Army to capture three men and seize firearms, ammunition, and controlled substances. The detainees, Jorman Z., Ángel Z., and Mathias V., were turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of illicit association, illegal possession and carrying of firearms, and drug trafficking. Evidence seized: - Pistols and revolvers - Ammunition and magazines - Plant material suspected to be marijuana - Electronic devices. The Army continues operations to combat arms and drug trafficking in Manabí.
