Troops rescue kidnap victim during search operation in Plateau

Troops of Operation Safe Haven have rescued a kidnap victim during a search-and-rescue operation in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, security sources said.

The sources said the troops from Sector 6 responded to a report of kidnapping activities at about 7:30 a.m. on March 15 along the Manchok–Jos Road.

Following the report, the troops conducted a search-and-rescue operation within the general area and successfully rescued the victim.

The victim has since been debriefed by the troops to obtain information that could aid follow-up operations aimed at apprehending the perpetrators.

Troops have continued to intensify patrols in the area to prevent further criminal activities.
