Two men lost their lives after a shootout with state agents in the municipality of Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m., when armed individuals in two vehicles opened fire on a patrol. The officers' immediate response and the arrival of reinforcements from the Criminal Investigation Agency allowed them to neutralize the threat after a chase through surrounding communities. The Ministry of Security and Peace confirmed that the operational personnel were unharmed after the altercation. The following items were seized in the area of ​​conflict: firearms, ammunition, and other equipment. The area was placed under the protection of the National Guard and the Army for the corresponding procedures of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
