Armed attack in Durán leaves four dead, including a teenager with a disability. Assailants in a white vehicle fired more than 20 shots at residents gathered in the Héctor Cobos neighborhood. According to the Ecuadorian National Police, the attack occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. The occupants of the car got out and opened fire indiscriminately; some chased those who tried to escape, increasing the number of victims. Authorities identified four of the deceased: - Pedro Jair Casierra Solís, 19 years old - Juan Daniel Solís Giler, 25 years old - Óscar Walter Solís Ismael, 26 years old - Kevin Francisco Vera Ubilla, 15 years old, who died hours later in the hospital. Colonel Rodrigo Hidalgo indicated that the investigation is progressing with the support of security camera footage. Family members and residents are demanding justice in the face of the persistent wave of violence in the canton, one of the most affected in the province of Guayas.
