Army and National Guard Capture Five Suspected CJNG Members in Aerial Operation in Chiapas. One of them is identified as the alleged perpetrator of threats against authorities in videos circulated on social media. With the support of a Black Hawk helicopter, federal and state forces conducted an operation on March 11 in the mountains of the municipality of Ixhuatán, which resulted in the arrest of five suspected members of the CJNG cartel, according to official reports. The detainees are known by the aliases El Pequeño, El Moreno, El Tetor, El Barbas, and El Machado. The latter is identified as the alleged operative responsible for posting threats on social media directed at the Chiapas government. The following items were seized during the operation: - 5 rifles with magazines - 129 rounds of ammunition - 16 tactical and ballistic vests - Drugs and miscellaneous equipment. Authorities link the group to acts of violence in the mountainous region following the recent arrest of the organization's leader.
