SAA event in Mexico on Sat 14th March 2026

A shopkeeper was shot dead inside the Icacos Market in broad daylight in Acapulco. Armed individuals entered a dairy shop and repeatedly shot the vendor just meters from the Costera Miguel Alemán. According to police reports, the attack occurred after 2:00 p.m. this Friday on 9th Street, next to Ejidal Park. The Red Cross confirmed that the victim had no vital signs upon arrival at the scene. Officers from various agencies closed access to the market while forensic experts from the Regional Prosecutor's Office collected evidence. The body was sent to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo). This is the second homicide recorded in the area in less than two weeks; on March 3, another man was shot on 7th Street in the Icacos neighborhood.
