Another war crime. Another act of Russian aggression against civilians.
A Geran 2 drone crashed through the roof of a residential building, punching a hole nearly three feet wide through the main roof and the interior ceiling. By sheer luck, the 90 kg warhead, the light green spherical charge inside the drone, failed to detonate.
Had it exploded, the destruction and loss of life would have been catastrophic.
These drones are designed with a hardened penetrator tip intended to punch through structures so the warhead can detonate inside buildings. The goal is to maximize internal damage after penetration.
Instead, this family survived by nothing more than chance. No casualties this time, thank God.
But the reality remains the same. These drones are being sent toward cities and residential areas, placing homes, families, and ordinary people directly in the path of weapons designed for war.
How the world can watch this happen again and again and still hesitate to act is something I will never understand.
