Grenade event in Mitrovica District, Mitrovica area, Kosovo on Fri 6th March 2026

Following a dispute in which three men physically assaulted and stabbed another man, the police identified the perpetrators and, during a search of the home of one of the suspects, aged 26, seized and found: one AK-47 automatic rifle, 34 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, one magazine containing 29 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, one box containing 15 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, one M-75 hand grenade, one bulletproof vest, two stun grenades, one signal flare, two knives, one scale, narcotic plants, one grinder, plastic and foil bags, one cigarette suspected to contain marijuana. The suspect was detained.
