Grenade event in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri District area, India on Tue 10th March 2026

The terrorist killed on March 10 during an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri District of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) has been identified as Hamza Yousaf, a launching operative of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), reports Daily Excelsior on March 11. Earlier, the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) had noted the killing of the terrorist on the same day, which Army officials identified a day later. According to the Indian Army (IA), the incident occurred in the Jhangar area of the Nowshera sector when two terrorists attempted to infiltrate from across the border. One terrorist was killed while the other managed to escape back across the LoC. Arms and ammunition recovered included an AK-type rifle with two magazines, two pistols with four magazines, 58 rounds and three hand grenades.
