SAA event in Jammu and Kashmir, Jhangar, Rajouri District area, India on Tue 10th March 2026

On March 10 (today), the Army gunned down a Pakistani terrorist and injured another during a gun battle along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jhangar area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Acting on intelligence inputs, troops detected movement of two terrorists and opened fire, triggering a firefight in which one terrorist was killed while the other was reportedly injured while attempting to flee towards Pakistan. There were no casualties on the Army side. According to the White Knight Corps, the swift response successfully foiled the infiltration attempt. A search operation is underway to trace the injured terrorist believed to be hiding in the area. This is the third infiltration attempt foiled along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch Districts within less than a month.
