Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Chittagong, Kaligach Tala Kali Mondir, Baganbari Thakurpara, Cumilla area, Bangladesh on Sat 7th March 2026

On March 7, a Hindu Priest identified as Keshob Chakraborty, 48, was injured as a bomb exploded at Kaligach Tala Kali Mondir during the weekly Shani puja in Baganbari Thakurpara area in Cumilla city in Cumilla District, reports The Daily Star. Sajol Kumar Chanda, President of Mandir Committee, said the bomb exploded inside the temple around 6:30 pm during the Shani puja. CCTV footage showed that at 6:28 pm, a masked individual entered the temple carrying a bag. Keshab Chakraborty said, “After the bomb explosion, a white object fell in front of me. At first, I thought something had fallen from a tree. Later, seeing smoke, others told me it was a bomb. However, I cannot say who threw it or why.”
