On March 6, 2026, the National Mobilization Front of Afghanistan (NMF) posted on X that its fighters, carried out a pre-planned ambush on a Ranger-type military vehicle that was transporting several terrorists belonging to Al Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and the Taliban forces in the Moqbal area of Dand Patan District of Paktia Province, killing two Al-Qaeda terrorists, two Taliban fighters, and one TTP terrorist, while several other terrorists were seriously wounded. The Ranger vehicle carrying them was completely destroyed. No casualties were inflicted on the fighters of NMF.
