On March 5, two journalists, identified as Khairul Alam Faisal, Kishoreganj District correspondent of Channel 24, and Faizul Islam Bhuiyan Pinku, District correspondent of Global Television, were attacked while covering an auction at the traditional Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj District, after Asr prayers, reports Prothom Alo. It is suspected that members of a local auction syndicate attacked them. Journalists were rescued with the help of Ansar members in charge of the mosque and taken to the hospital.
