On March 4, the Indian Army opened fire at suspected terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Officials stated that the suspected infiltrators were detected trying to cross into Indian territory from the Turkandi forward area around 4.15 am. Army troops guarding the LoC engaged them with gunfire to thwart the infiltration attempt. Reinforcements were rushed to the area, and a massive search operation was launched.
