Projectile event in Kunar, Dangam District area, Afghanistan on Wed 4th March 2026

Clashes between Taliban forces and Pakistani troops continued overnight in several border Provinces, as cross-border fighting entered its seventh day, reports Amu TV on March 4. According to reports, the two sides exchanged fire in Shamalzai District of Zabul Province and Shorabak District of Kandahar Province during the night. Taliban local authorities said Pakistani forces fired mortar rounds into Samkani district in Paktia province overnight, with some shells hitting residential homes but causing no reported casualties. They also said Pakistani troops fired dozens of artillery rounds into parts of Kunar over the past 24 hours. According to the officials, [...] 15 [shells] hit Dangam District and four landed in Shultan District. Taliban authorities claimed that one child was injured in the shelling and that residents suffered significant property damage.
