On 11 May 2021, QSD, supported by missile strikes by Coalition Forces, continued its security campaign in the area of Wadi al-Ajeej in Al Mayadin desert in Deir-ez-Zor during which caves, tunnels, and roads used by IS to smuggle goods and weapons from Iraq into Syria were destroyed. Neither injuries nor fatalities were reported.
