A group of individuals engaged in illegal activities was exposed by criminal investigation officers and investigators of the Main Department of National Police in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol with the force support of the special unit "KORD" of the Main Department of National Police in the Kyiv region in cooperation with operational officers of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Currently, three suspects have been notified of suspicion.

Law enforcement officers conducted seven simultaneous searches of private homes, garages, and vehicles of the suspects in Kyiv and the Boryspil district of Kyiv region. During the investigative actions, more than 11,500 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 196 artillery and engineering ammunition, four grenade launchers, including the RPO-A Shmel rocket-propelled flamethrower, nine small arms, six grenades with fuses, mechanisms for small arms, and explosives were seized.

Investigators informed three men of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal handling of weapons, ammunition and explosives without a permit provided for by law. The court chose a preventive measure for the detainees in the form of half-time detention. They face up to seven years in prison.

Police officers are identifying the sources of the seized weapons and other individuals who may be involved in the illegal activity. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
