An official from People’s Defense Force - Myeik District Battalion 2 told Khit Thit Media that an attack on terrorist soldiers stationed at the monastery in Chauk Maing Village, Tanintharyi Township, resulted in four military deaths—including one officer—and the seizure of two firearms.

The clash occurred at approximately 3:30 PM on March 4. In addition to the four junta fatalities, three revolutionary fighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
