Fighting continues to escalate along the Myeik-Dawei road in Thayetchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region. Local military sources told Khit Thit Media that the terrorist military has launched airstrikes near Win Wa Village for two days in a row.
On March 4 and 5, intense clashes broke out between revolutionary forces and terrorist military reinforcements sent to support the Win Wa military camp located on Union Highway 8. While there are reports of casualties on the military side, the exact number of deaths has not yet been confirmed.
After taking significant hits during the engagement, the military deployed aircraft to bomb the area near Win Wa Village in the early hours of March 5, following similar strikes on March 4. Although no civilian casualties have been reported from the bombing, the entire population of the village has fled to safety.
