A chlorine gas leak Tuesday night prompted a response from emergency services in the Loma Larga neighborhood, south of Monterrey, after a leak was detected in a one-ton cylinder within the chlorination area of the Monterrey Water and Drainage facilities. The initial report was received at 11:50 p.m., leading to the arrival of Nuevo León Civil Protection personnel. Upon reaching the intersection of Loma Larga and Loma Alta, they established a security perimeter and began evaluating the leaking cylinder.
