Locals report that two men were killed and another remains missing after the Rohingya armed group ARSA launched a landmine attack on a trailer truck returning from Kyein Chaung Market near Wai Lar Taung Village in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, around 11:00 AM on March 8.

A resident from northern Maungdaw stated, "ARSA carried out a landmine attack on a trailer returning with goods from the Kyein Chaung Market. We understand that two men died in the attack and another is missing. The area around Wai Lar Taung is a primary operating zone for ARSA, making it an extremely dangerous place for locals to travel."
